Bonzini at the heart of French history
For the next 2 months, explore the 22 Bonzini babyfoot tables installed in 14 of France’s greatest historic sites for matches with a truly unique twist!
These 14 monuments will play host to the «SCORING FOR HISTORY» program starting on 1 June.
Visitors will be invited to discover the Monuments in a brand-new way – through a game – and will have the chance to support the restoration of French historical sites while enjoying the “babyfoot experience” right where history was made.
You can actively support the preservation of France’s greatest monuments… by playing foosball!
A brief history of the operation:
Bonzini has been a part of the cultural scene for several years through its frequent involvement in exhibitions and partnerships with museums. Over the years – and generations – Bonzini has become a part of France’s collective heritage.
In honour of the Euro 2016, which France is hosting from 10 June to 10 July 2016, the Centre des Monuments Nationaux set out to develop cultural events that combined sport and history with an original twist.
As a family-owned French company, Bonzini immediately saw the CNM’s invitation to team up for a joint operation on major French historic sites as a natural fit.
All across France, you can find 20 specially branded football tables and 2 one-of-a-kind models built for 2 renowned Villas – a elegantly modernist B90 for the Villa Savoye and a 3 Metre model that echoed its yellow brick façade for the Villa Cavrois.
With this innovative and unconventional event, dubbed “Marquez pour le patrimoine : Des babyfoots dans les Monuments” (Scoring for History: Foosball in Monuments), Bonzini and the CNM involved the French athletic and cultural scenes in one of the major events of 2016 with a program steeped in their shared values.
The CNM is a public agency tasked with the preservation, restoration and public presentation of close to one hundred historic monuments and sites and their collections. It hosts over 9 million visitors across its network each year.
